Privacy Policy

Last Updated: February 4, 2026

1. Introduction

Glass, LLC (“Glass”, “we”, or “us”) is dedicated to protecting the privacy and security of the information you share with us. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) details how we handle your personal data when you use the Glass IDE, our website at editor.glass, and our related software services (collectively, the “Service”).

By using Glass, you agree to the practices described in this Data Privacy Policy.

2. Data We Collect

We categorize the data we collect into three types:

A. Information You Provide

  • Account Details: Name and email address when you register.
  • Payment Data: If you purchase a license, our payment processor (Stripe) collects billing details. We do not store your credit card information.
  • Communications: Contents of emails or feedback you send to us.
  • Inputs: The code, text, or terminal output you provide to the Service to generate AI suggestions ("Inputs").

B. Automated Information

  • Device Telemetry: Basic information about your device (OS version, app version) to help us debug issues.
  • Website Analytics: On editor.glass, we use PostHog to understand visitor trends. This may use cookies or local storage to distinguish unique visitors.
  • Log Data: IP address and timestamp of API requests for security monitoring.

C. Information We Do NOT Collect

  • No "Shadow" Training Data: We do not invisibly collect your code to train our models.
  • No Sensitive Personal Data: We do not collect biometric, health, or religious data.
  • Children: Our Service is not intended for users under 18.

3. Your Code & AI Data (The "Passthrough" Model)

We know your code is your proprietary asset. Our AI architecture is designed with this in mind:

  1. No Training on Inputs: We do not use your Code Inputs or the AI Suggestions generated to train our internal machine learning models.
  2. Third-Party AI Partners: When you use AI features (e.g., Chat, Generate), your text/code is sent to our AI providers (including OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google) solely for the purpose of generating a response.
  3. Opt-Out Configuration: We configure our API integrations with these providers to "Opt-Out" of data retention for training purposes wherever such settings are available.

4. How We Use Your Data

  • Provide the Service: Authenticate you, process payments, and generate AI responses.
  • Improve Glass: Analyze crash reports and usage patterns to fix bugs.
  • Communicate: Send important updates about your subscription or security.
  • Security: Detect and prevent abuse of our API keys.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. Sharing Your Data

We share data only when necessary to operate the Service:

  • Service Providers: We trust specific vendors to handle complex infrastructure:
    • Stripe: Payment processing.
    • Resend: Transactional emails.
    • PostHog: Product analytics and website metrics.
    • AI Providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google): To generate intelligence.
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose data if required by law.
  • Business Transfers: If Glass, LLC is involved in a merger or acquisition, user data may be transferred as a business asset.

6. Data Retention

  • Account Data: Kept while your account is active.
  • Logs: Retained for a limited period for security auditing, then deleted or anonymized.
  • Inputs: We do not retain a history of your code snippets on our servers longer than necessary to process the request.

7. Security

We implement robust industry-standard security measures to protect your data. However, no software is impenetrable. Glass is a Beta product, and you acknowledge the inherent risks associated with using pre-release developer tools.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

  • Access and request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Correct your personal information.

To exercise these rights, contact us at: info@editor.glass

9. Jurisdiction

Glass, LLC is a Wyoming Limited Liability Company. By using the Service, you acknowledge that your data may be processed in the United States and agree that any disputes shall be governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey.
